While her mother, Danielle, went to LSU, her father, Jeff, attended Iowa. April Traylor, her aunt, was a Florida State athlete as well.
Additionally, Kayana’s parents are no longer cohabitating. Her mother reared her alone because her parents never wed. But her parents have always encouraged her, given her advice, and pushed her to understand the challenges and hardships of becoming a great athlete.
