Hayden Springer, a PGA Tour golfer, and his wife Emma lost their three-year-old daughter Sage due to a congenital defect. Sage was born in 2020, although she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 shortly before 26 weeks of pregnancy.
Despite Hayden and Emma’s strong wish to keep Sage alive after she was born, the experts they trusted warned them that doing so would just prolong Sage’s pain. Doctors predicted she wouldn’t last more than a few hours, yet she defied the odds and lived for three years. Sage, on the other hand, was unable to recover and died on November 13, 2023.
Emma wrote in a heartfelt message about their beloved daughter Sage Elyse, “Our princess miracle girl, Sage Elyse, was eternally healed on November 13, 2023, at 7:10 pm.” She gave us uncountable joy and happiness. Her free-spirited soul is no longer constrained by her corporeal body. We know she’s only just getting started on her best days.” She also requested that attendees at her funeral wear pink in remembrance of Sage.

Sage and Annie Springer are Hayden and Emma Springer’s children. Regrettably, Sage’s untimely death has left them with only Annie as a daughter. Hayden and Emma married in 2019 after meeting in college and falling in love. Sage, their first child, is due in October 2020.
Sage was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s Syndrome, at 20 weeks of Emma’s pregnancy, a genetic disease with catastrophic consequences. Despite the challenges, the pair was determined to give Sage the best possible care and support. Sage survived to be three years old before passing away. Sage’s difficult journey was rewarded with the birth of another daughter. Annie was born in October 2023 and just had her first birthday a few months ago.

Emma Springer, Hayden’s wife, graduated from the Cizik School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Houston in 2020 and is now a registered nurse. She attended Texas Tech University and met Hayden during her freshman year. Both were involved in the school’s golf program, and their shared passion for the sport laid the groundwork for their relationship.
Emma was also a fantastic golfer, winning numerous events. Hayden subsequently switched to TCU for golf, where he won the Big 12 championship as a senior by outperforming Viktor Hovland. Despite this, Emma and Hayden’s friendship was unbreakable. After years of dating, they got engaged in August 2018.
Emma announced her exciting news on Twitter with the words “I SAID YES!!!” That was the simplest decision I’d ever made. A lifetime is insufficient for this guy. They married on August 2, 2019, following Hayden’s college graduation and the start of his professional golfing career. Emma is now more concerned with her family and her child.
