Keith and Chevette Humphrey, Lil Jordan’s parents, are Texas natives. The couple has four children, with Lil Jordan being the youngest.
Lil Jordan, the Broncos’ wide receiver, is not small. He may be the family’s youngest member, but it doesn’t explain his moniker, Lil Jordan. There is another story behind this. In 2019, the 6’6 athlete made his NFL debut for the New Orleans Saints. However, he never seemed to fit in with the team. In 2022, he signed with Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots.
He appeared in only six games for the Patriots before signing with the Broncos earlier this season. He’s made 11 catches for 93 receiving yards and two scores, the most recent coming against the Lions.

Lil Jordan Humphrey’s parents, Keith and Chevette Humphrey have always encouraged their youngest son to participate in sports. His mother, Chevette, wanted him to be a basketball player. Lil Jordan longed to be a basketball player and, more likely, to be as well-known as the person with whom he shared his name.
However, fate had different ideas for him. Chevette came up with the nickname “Lil Jordan”. Terry, LJ’s brother, wanted his brother to be called Michael Jordan, but Chevette did not want to use the name exactly. So she dubbed her child Lil Jordan. In an interview with 247Sports, Chevette stated, “We were trying to speak it into existence.”
But Lil Jordan did not stay small. Chevette is 5’9″ and her husband, Keith, is 6′”, but the wide receiver grew to 6’6″. LJ’s interest in football grew while he watched SportsCenter with his father. The father-son duo would examine the game video, and LJ would point out the direction the runner should cut before it occurred.
At the age of nine, his love of athletics and athleticism prompted him to practice with his father. LJ and Terry would run two miles in the morning before doing one hour of P90X. Chevette goes by Queenc Humphrey on Facebook and has shared a few family images.
Keith has tweeted photographs of his son practicing with his team, as well as the news that he has signed with the Denver Broncos. He captioned the shot, “Lol, same story,” expressing disappointment that Lil was unable to secure a seat on one team. Keith later commented, “Yeah, he’ll be OK. “They keep him until he reaches his peak.”
Lil Jordan Humphrey’s siblings
The wide receiver is the younger of four siblings. However, his siblings have decided to keep him out of the public eye. His brother, Terry Michael, who wanted Lil Jordan to be named after Michael Jordan, lives in Dallas, Texas. Terry’s Facebook profile features numerous images of his family attending football games.
The majority of these images, however, were taken while Lil Jordan was still playing for the University of Texas. Devontae Humphrey-Wade is Lil Jordan’s other sibling. Devontae lives in Houston, Texas and works as an insurance claims adjuster. He also works as a property manager and has previously worked as a store supervisor. Lil Jordan hasn’t shared many family images on social media, preferring to keep his personal life private.
