Yousaf claims that his parents wanted him to become a doctor, lawyer, chemist, dentist, or accountant. He continued by saying that Asian parents expected their kids to work in one of the aforementioned fields. Muzaffar, an accountant, was dismayed when Yousaf said he would probably major in law because he was terrible at science and hardly passable at math.

Yousaf has already spoken about the racism he encountered as a child. The BBC claimed that when he announced his presidential bid, he had to call the police because of racial threats. In response to his accusation, two adults, a male, and a girl, were taken into custody and charged.
Prior to deciding to pursue politics, Humza attended Glasgow’s Hutchesons Grammar Private School and Glasgow University. As Bashir Ahmad’s parliamentary assistant, he made his first foray into politics as Scotland’s first South Asian MSP. He formerly served as Alex Salmond’s first minister’s legislative advisor.
