Caroline Wozniacki was born on July 11, 1990, to parents Anna and Piotr Wozniacki. Her mother, Anna, played for the Polish women’s national volleyball team, while her father, Piotr, aspired to be a professional footballer. The family relocated to Denmark after Piotr joined the Danish football team B1909.
Throughout Caroline’s tennis career, her father served as her primary coach, providing coaching at all levels. Growing up, the family enjoyed outdoor activities, with the children learning to swim and play football early on. Caroline’s older brother, Patrik Wozniacki, was born on July 24, 1986, and also played professional football in Denmark. Return To The Court After Three Years
Caroline Wozniacki returned to tennis for the first time since 2020, defeating Kimberly Birrell 6-2, 6-2, in the first round of the Canadian Open in Montreal on August 8, 2023. After winning 30 singles titles, Wozniacki has announced her retirement after the 2020 Australian Open.
In June 2023, she revealed her plans to return. After winning the game, Wozniacki said,
“It feels wonderful. It was my first match in almost three years, and I was feeling rusty.”
