Childhood and Career of Adam Goodes

Adam started playing Australian rules football at his school. When he was 16 years old, he joined the North Ballarat under-18 club. After two years, Adam was hired by the Sydney Swans of the Australian Football League. At the age of 19, Adam made his acting debut in 1999, winning the Rising Star Award for the season.

Adam struggled with consistency in 2000 and 2001 while playing a variety of positions. Adam’s play was rapidly declining, and he was in danger of being let go from the team in 2002. But as time went on, his form became better, and he started to participate more in rucks. At the end of the 2003 season, Adam was awarded the Bob Skilton Medal and was chosen for Australia for the first time.

He had the best season of any player in 2009 thus far. He broke Mark Ricciuto’s previous record by 274 days and became the AFL player to reach 300 games the quickest. Along with Nathan Buckley of Collingwood and Mark, of Adelaide, Goodes was awarded the Brownlow Medal, the highest individual honour in the league.
