AGT: All Stars will reintroduce spectacular performances and artists who wowed the audience. Former participants from the original program will compete for the title again in the spin-off season.
Aidan McCann, an Irish magician who first appeared on Ireland’s Got Talent when he was nine years old, is one of the candidates set to return. His illusions were so good that he was asked to appear on The Ellen Show after his performance on the talent show. The first episode of AGT: All Stars will air on NBC on January 2, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET.
Aidan McCann, an AGT: All Stars contestant, has been performing magic in the United Kingdom
Aidan is one of the few AGT: All-Stars contestants who have participated in more than one regional season of the show. He made it to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent Season 14 and Ireland’s Got Talent Season 2. His BGT audition consisted of magic tricks that required the judges’ participation. He took Alesha’s ring and vanished it. He then gave Simon a gift that included an unscrewed watch and Alesha’s ring.
Aidan then caused the ring to vanish and reappearance to be linked to his own shoelace. The young magician captivated Alesha Dixon, and Simon predicted that Aidan would do well on the show. Due to Covid-19 constraints, Aidan’s next performance was broadcast live from his bedroom.
He asked David to choose a sketch from his hand. The drawing he had chosen appeared in the envelope in front of the judges. He then told him to color it in while Aidan was blindfolded; the color the judge used corresponded to the color Amanda was holding.
The young magician and potential AGT: All Stars contestant then revealed that he was wearing the same colors as David. Aidan advanced to the Finals after receiving the most public votes. His second act was a card trick in which Aidan asked David to pick a card, which wowed and won the judges’ hearts. The judges praised him as a “mini-celebrity” who is “self-assured and confident,” adding to his allure.
Aiden became the youngest magician to ever perform in Vegas when he performed magic in Limitless after his experience in the Irish talent competition. He appeared on The Ellen Show in January 2020 with his own segment Aidan’s Magic Corner. The Jonas Brothers, Colin Farrell, Emily Blunt, and Kalen Allen all made appearances.
Following his appearance on BGT, he appeared on BBC’s Blue Peter. He was unable to perform for two years due to Covid-19, but he returned to the stage for the Blackpool Magic Convention Gala Night Show and the Ulster Magic Convention in Belfast.
Aidan is set to return to the AGT stage as part of AGT: All Stars, where he will be joined by a slew of incredible performers. On January 2, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET, NBC and Peacock will reveal what happens when the magician returns to the stage.
