Trev Alberts, a former football player and American sports executive, is happily married to Angela Alberts. The couple has three gorgeous children: two daughters and an elder son, who are all now adults and working.
The Albert family has seen many highs and lows in life, but they have always remained close. Trev Kendall Alberts, a former football player, is the director of athletics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During his undergraduate career, Alberts got the Dick Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Trophy as a senior. He was also inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Trev was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as the fifth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft. However, owing to injuries, the linebacker only played three seasons in the NFL before retiring with the Colts after the 1996 season. Alberts was hired as a college football journalist by CNN/SI and its Sports Illustrated magazine after leaving the NFL.
Trev also joined ESPN in 2002 as an in-studio college football pundit. He later worked as a columnist on the CSTV website in 2006. The former NFL star is currently the Athletic Director at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he attended college. He had previously served as the director of athletics there.

Trev Alberts’ wife, Angela Dewire, was born on March 16, 1970, in Omaha, Nebraska. Angela grew up in a home with six siblings. Her late father, Steve A. Dewire, was married to Cheryl Wence, his second wife. Dewire died in 2015 after retiring as a truck driver in Hamilton, Indiana, after being a lifelong Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Tigers supporter.
Angela, the renowned wife, is a very private person as well. She usually avoids the spotlight and is rarely seen in public. Trev initially met Angela in 1991, during his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska. The couple married in Indiana four years later, on February 18, 1996, just before he retired from professional football. Mrs. Alberts has been a committed mother and a supportive wife despite her quiet demeanor. She has been present for practically all of Trev’s career-defining moments.

Trev and Angela Alberts are the proud parents of three children. Chase Alberts, the couple’s first child, was born in 1997, after a year of marriage. Chase, a US Military Academy graduate, is currently an armor Officer at Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield. Trev’s eldest son, Trev, is due to marry Cassie in December 2020.
The couple’s first kid, Walker John, was born recently. Ashtynne, the second child, was a collegiate athlete like her father. She played volleyball at Clemson University before graduating with an accounting degree in 2021. Riley Smith, Ashtynne’s Costco Executive Member boyfriend, just proposed.
Trev’s youngest daughter, Breanna, was born in 2004 and is currently a student at Clemson University. Breanna, Angela, and Trev were also present for the news announcement announcing Trev’s appointment as athletic director at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
