A brand-new episode of NBC’s The Voice Season 22 debuted on Monday, September 26, 2022. Blind auditions are currently taking place between coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, Camila Cabello, and Gwen Stefani seeking the best vocalist to join their team. Since last week’s premiere of the well-liked reality TV series, viewers have watched a variety of competitors perform.
A seat on The Voice was secured for several of those contestants after they dazzled the judges and received at least one chair turn. One such candidate is California native Ava Lynn Thuresson. The 18-year-old entered the stage and astounded the judges with her faultless rendition of Baby One More Time by Britney Spear.
She created a grunge cover of a timeless pop song. Only a few minutes after the competitor’s performance, John Legend pressed the button and turned for her. After her performance, Camila Cabello also swiveled her chair in the direction of a Season 22 participant of The Voice. Gwen Stefani acknowledged her love for Ava’s grungy aesthetic and regret missing her moment.

Ava Lynn, who is on The Voice, recently completed high school. According to Ava’s Instagram feed, she graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in May. She wrote captions on photos of herself at her graduation,

Ava stated that she would be attending the University of Berkley in the app’s profile. She additionally shared a picture of herself sporting a university sweatshirt and hat. The Voice contestant gave it the nickname “golden bear,” maybe in honor of the Golden Bears, the athletic team for the University of California, Berkeley.
Ava received a spot at Grammy Camp
In 2020, Ava announced that she has been selected to attend Grammy Camp. She sent a message about her summer camp on social media. She wrote in the caption,
“I’m overjoyed to announce that I’ll be attending Grammy Camp this summer! @grammymuseum, #GRAMMYCamp I’m very excited to work with the amazing guest artists!
Ava was a cheerleader in high school and took part in her spring musical. On her Instagram account, she posted images of her school memories. The 18-year-old singer paid tribute to her cousin who drowned during her appearance on The Voice.
The Voice Season 22 contestant participated in the blind audition with her cousin Dawson in her memory. Dawson drowned to death when he was just a young man. He’s frequently mentioned by Ava on her Facebook page.
Her bio mentions that she also has a Dawson-specific profile. She posted a short clip of Dawson congratulating him on his birthday back in May. She posted another childhood photo of them clutching a guitar earlier in January with the remark,
