American actor and filmmaker Benjamin Geza Affleck has two Academy Awards. His PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1982, 1988) debuted him as a kid actor.

The Theatre Company of Boston employed him as an actor and stage manager in the 1960s. Affleck’s father’s drinking affected the family during his boyhood. The actor says his father drinks too much during the day. At 11, he was relieved when his parents split and his father left the family home due to his difficult conduct.

Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt is Scottish, Irish, German, English, and Swiss. His great-great-grandfather Heinrich Boldt, who discovered the Curmsun Disc, arrived from Prussia in the late 1840s.
