The 54-year-old Alex Murdaugh is now in court for a trial after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two related weapons offenses. Despite having entered a not-guilty plea, Alex is suspected of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul.

Buster, a 26-year-old man, rose to deliver his evidence on Tuesday morning. He was seen wearing a white button-down shirt and a black jacket while giving his evidence. The alleged first-degree murderer’s son, Buster, stood up for his father and became upset as they spoke about the night he witnessed his mother and sibling shot and covered in blood.
He claimed that on the evening of June 27, 2021, his father phoned and told him that his mother and brother had been shot as he was struggling to hold back his tears. Buster said that before engaging him in a new topic, his Father asked him, “Are you sitting down?”
He said Alex seemed anxious during the phone; when he and his fiancée arrived at his parent’s home, they saw his Father weeping by himself. When his father arrived at the scene, they phoned emergency, and the case was sent for inquiry. His father couldn’t help but embrace him.
When Buster described the night he hurried to his parent’s home and learned that his mother and brother, Paul, was being shot, he seemed to be experiencing a lot of emotion.
