He issued his debut record in 1980. You Want It, You Got It was published in 1981. Cuts Like a Knife, his third album, was published in 1983.

His fourth album, Reckless, was released in 1984 and included popular tracks like “Run to You,” “Heaven,” “It’s Only Love,” “One Night Love Affair,” and “Summer of ’69.” It is Bryan’s best-selling record and has received five American platinum certifications.
