Caly Bevier

The premiere of AGT: All Stars 2023 is set for January. The event aims to bring back spectacular performances that wowed the judges and audience on the AGT stage in the past.

The future series will feature dancers, vocalists, aerialists, acrobats, and other performers. Caly Bevier, who first appeared on AGT season 11, is one of the artists confirmed to appear on the show. When she was 15, the singer has diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer. The first episode of AGT: All Stars will air on NBC on December 2, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET.

Meet Caly Bevier prior to her appearance on AGT: All Stars

Caly made her AGT debut in season 11, reaching the semifinals. She made her debut in episode 4 with a cover of Rachel Platten’s Fight Song, earning the show’s most difficult golden buzzer, Simon Cowell’s. During her semifinal segment, she stated that she would sometimes lie in the hospital bed and wonder if she would survive. She went on to say that she wasn’t the only young person receiving treatment there, and that she made friends with several others, though not all of them survived.

She went on to say:

“I was one of the lucky ones who got out, and it’s kind of hard.”

Caly had been in remission for a year when she auditioned; she would return to the hospital to be there for the other kids, and she was seen in the video spending time with young cancer patients.

During her audition, Howie Mandel compared her to Audrey Hepburn, prompting the future AGT: All Stars contestant to tell her story. She attended the concert to teach others that no matter what, they should “keep following” their dreams.

All of the judges applauded her, and Simon gave her a thumbs up before handing her the Golden Buzzer. She received standing ovations from Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Simon Cowell in the quarterfinals for her performance of Sara Bareilla’s Brave.

She advanced to the semifinals, where she performed Christina Perri’s Human. Her performance inspired the judges to back her up once more. Her AGT journey, however, came to an end when she did not receive enough votes to advance to the finals.

Caly talked about her AGT adventure in 2021 in a later conversation with The Dynamic. She remembered walking onto the stage and feeling as if all of her singing had led up to that point.

She went on to say:

“When I heard the first note over the loudspeakers, I sung my heart out with all the emotion I could muster. Then everything turned white. I was exactly where I was supposed to be. That experience made me realize how much I enjoy performing on stage. As I previously stated, my voice was only for myself until that point. I had no idea how it would feel to tell thousands of people about it.”

The following AGT: All Stars contestant revealed that it took her a second to understand Simon’s decision to press the golden buzzer and see potential in her performance. Caly will now compete for the grand prize on AGT: All Stars 2023. On December 2nd, at 8 p.m. ET, watch NBC and Peacock.
