Who Is Christian Suzuki From “Drink Masters”?

Christian Suzuki

Your taste buds will be delighted by Drink Masters on Netflix. The focus of the new reality television competition series is on mixology and bartending.

There were a total of 12 contestants vying to be named the Ultimate Drink Master. In addition to the title, the winner received a cash prize of $100,000. The show premiered on October 28, 2022.

According to Drink Masters’ official synopsis

Twelve of the most inventive mixologists in the world “infuse, swirl, and blend their way through a series of high-stakes cocktail challenges for the chance to win a life-changing prize and the title of The Ultimate Drink Master.”

One of the 12 contestants that entered the competition was eliminated in every show. Only four contestants made it to the semifinal round. One of them was Christian “Suzu” Suzuki, a mixology expert from San Francisco, California.

He beat Tao Zafri in an elimination match after making it to the semifinals. He gave it his all, but it wasn’t sufficient, and he was kicked out. Even though Christian did not advance to the championship round, his beverages impressed the judges throughout the competition.

Christian, 32, joined Drink Masters with the goal of winning the title. He aimed to demonstrate that he could handle the challenges the judges presented to him in each round.

His cocktails for the judges made it clear that he was Japanese. He said that his Japanese grandparents had imparted their hospitality skills to him. Additionally, he is well-versed in the craft of mixology. Aside from that, his personality has made him a fan favorite for the season.

He escaped elimination and made it all the way to the semifinals despite a rough start to the competition. In episode 7, Christian also astounded the judges with his vegan wontons and martini.

He ended up winning the episode. The Drink Masters contestant currently resides in San Francisco and holds a position as general manager of a local cocktail bar called Wildhawk.

Christian stated that a woman and a queer person of color run Wildhawk in an interview with Distiller Magazine. At the age of 21, Christian began working as a bartender. In addition, he recently launched a pop-up store that was modeled after his grandmother’s bar in Japan in the 1950s and 1960s.

His pop-up was known by the moniker Kayani Pop-up. According to The Cinemaholic, one of his life objectives is to restore his grandmother’s bar with genuine Japanese goods.

Additionally, Christian has established a reputation for himself in the mixology and bartending fields. He was recognized earlier this year as one of the top ten candidates for US Bartender of the Year. He was also listed as one of the 75 people to watch in Imbibe magazine.

Additionally, he has won in the Bombay Sapphire Most Creative Bartender and Bacardi Legacy categories. Christian is a passionate supporter of LGBTQ+ programming and is a proud LGBTQ+ member.
