The Bachelor season 27 premieres on ABC on Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET, and will star Zach Shallcross from The Bachelorette season 19 as he attempts to find love once more.
The show will feature 30 suitors competing for his love. One of the women featured on the show is Christina Mandrell, a 26-year-old content producer and mother from Nashville, Tennessee. Christina is Barbara Mandrell’s niece and the daughter of Irene Mandrell, an actress, and singer who is also a content developer.
Meet Christina Mandrell ahead of her appearance on The Bachelor
On The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, Zach and Christina Mandrell first met. Five Season 27 suitors made an impression on the eligible bachelor during her appearance in the episode. While she did not receive the rose, which would have guaranteed her immunity from elimination in the first week of the competition, Christina did bring two small vodka bottles for the two to guzzle.
Christina is a model, singer, and actress who has appeared in films and television shows such as Hannah Montana: The Movie, A Belle for Christmas, After Darkness, Becoming Jesse Tate, and others.
The Bachelor Season 27 hopeful has also worked with well-known artists and appeared in music videos such as Cole Swindell’s She Had Me At Heads Carolina, Taylor Swift’s Fifteen, and Kevin Quinn’s It’s About Time.
Christina was previously married to Blake Dennis, but they divorced. She is a single mother to her five-year-old daughter, Blakely, and refers to herself as Blakely’s pet turtle’s grandmother. Blakely is frequently seen on her mother’s Instagram account, which currently has 43.1K followers. Not long ago, the overjoyed mother took to social media to congratulate her daughter on her achievements.
In the post, the Season 27 suitor also mentioned providing a safe space for children to express their apparently unpleasant feelings. She expressed concern that her daughter was misbehaving and emphasized the importance of allowing children to express their emotions.
The caption read:
“I believe it’s normal to give the people we trust/love the short end of the stick in our lives because we feel comfortable enough to express our true feelings to them, which will inevitably be “grumpy” at some point.”
Christina was warned that she would receive negative feedback if she signed up for the ABC show, so she turned to Instagram to stop the cyberbullying she experienced following the announcement.
Christina felt compelled to speak out not only to defend her actions but also to advocate for other “hard-working mommas” who do not deserve to be mocked for following their hearts or pursuing their dreams. She continued by stating that she is a working mother who is still looking for a spouse.
While on the program, she hopes to find a partner in Zach whom she can fully trust and who is open to whatever life throws at them. She hopes to find her fairytale on The Bachelor Season 27. See if she succeeds on ABC on Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
