Season 44 of Survivor is set to premiere this week, with 18 new cast members competing to become the show’s next lone survivor.
Frannie Marin, a 23-year-old Cambridge, Massachusetts study coordinator, is one of the candidates preparing to appear on the CBS show. She is the season’s youngest member of the ensemble. She is currently employed as a Clinical Study Assistant at the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Kindness.
Meet Frannie Marin, the smallest Survivor season 44 competitor, ahead of her CBS debut
Frannie Marin, the future survivor, is the season’s youngest competitor at 23 years old. She describes herself as inquisitive, astute, and astute. Frannie attended Hill-Marry School and received her high school diploma before enrolling in DIS – Study Abroad, where she studied positive psychology in Denmark during the fall semester of 2020. She studied psychology at the University of Minnesota from 2017 to 2021, where she was a member of the honors program and chorus.
The Survivor season 44 contestant began her career as a part-time office manager for Serenity Nails and Spa for four years before launching her own journal-style group called Integrated Metabolism, which is geared toward encouraging scientific curiosity, according to her resume:
“Integrated Metabolism is a journal-style group for college students who are interested in biological topics like human metabolism, diet, exercise physiology, and biochemistry.”
She worked as a research assistant for Mann Lab and RIMA Lab before joining the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Kindness as a clinical research supervisor in 2021.
The upcoming season 44 cast member spoke to Parade about her role on the CBS show and how it combines everything she enjoys. She will be able to learn how people interact with one another in the program and will have the opportunity to join various community group relationships.
Frannie continued, saying:
“I enjoy the muscular aspect, simply pushing yourself beyond what you thought your body was capable of. Then there’s the emotional and spiritual aspect of pushing your limits and seeing what you’re made of.”
Sophie Clarke from Survivor: South Pacific is the only winner she can identify with. Frannie regards the previous competitor as a “bada**” and an underappreciated victor. Meanwhile, she admires non-winner Gabby Pascuzzi from David vs. Goliath, who was known to be open about her emotions.
Frannie believes she will behave similarly on the show, and that while she will use her brain, she will also use her feelings and carefully consider her emotions. Frannie is season 44’s youngest female cast member and the second youngest cast member overall. Carson Garrett, a NASA engineering student of 20 years, is the youngest. Other ladies scheduled to perform on the show include Jamie (35), Lauren (30), Maddy (28), Claire (25), Heidi (42), Carolyn (35), Helen (28), and Sarah (26).
