Hunter Hatfield Shooting Case Update
Three individuals have been taken into custody following a shooting incident that occurred at the Majestic Beach Towers Resort in Panama City Beach.
An 18-year-old Dallas, Georgia resident was shot in the leg, according to a report that brought the Panama City Beach Police Department to action.
After being taken to the hospital, the victim had surgery, and his condition is currently stable.
At first, observers thought the gunfire was coming from a firework.

Investigating further showed that on the 16th-floor balcony of a property at Majestic Beach Towers, Damien Chhoeung, 20, was handling a handgun carelessly.
Unfortunately, the victim was struck on the beach when the gun unintentionally fired.
It is significant to remember that the victim and the suspect had no prior relationship.
Following the event, Damien’s brother, 19-year-old Elijah Chhoeung, was revealed to be an accomplice in the crime.
Hunter Hatfield was also connected to the inquiry.
Elijah tried to get rid of the gun by throwing it in the trees off of Richard Jackson Boulevard, but the police were able to find it.
After being apprehended, all three suspects were registered at the Bay County Jail.

The amount given for his bail is $85,000.
Elijah and Hatfield have been charged with tampering with evidence, and their bonds have been set at $25,000.
