2010 saw the former football player get married to Jane Sellers, Mike Sellers’ wife. The former football player who is now a coach recently said that, as he fights heart disease, his family needs support.
Since her husband is unable to care for their family, Jane has started a campaign on his behalf. Former NFL and CFL player Mike Sellers began playing professionally in 1995 with the Edmonton Elks.
Mike was an NFL player for the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Commanders. Before signing with the Browns, he played for three seasons with the Commanders after entering the NFL in 1998. In 2004, he rejoined the NFL and played for the Commanders until 2011. Up until his health deteriorated, Sellers was employed at IMG Academy as a running back coach.

Jane Sellers, the spouse of Mike Sellers, is a bodybuilder who has participated in numerous competitions in the past few years. Like her husband, Jane enjoyed working out, and she used to post videos on her Cooking With Plain Jane YouTube channel. Jane participated in the NPC Tampa Bay Classic in 2018, and there are a few pictures of her online that show how destroyed she looks.
On his Facebook page, Mike had previously shared multiple bodybuilding photos of Jane. The wife of a former NFL player, Jane Sellers, attended TR Robinson Senior High School and graduated from Hillsborough Community College. Her husband’s recent health issues have forced her to take a leave of absence from her position as a paraprofessional at Sumner High School.
Jane is the CEO of Balloon Art by Plain Jane in addition to being a paraprofessional. She started creating balloon artwork last January, and now she has a second Instagram profile dedicated to it. Jane had just started a GoFundMe page to assist Mike with his recent illness-related medical bills.
“Mike has been in and out of one of the best hospitals in the nation, Tampa General Hospital, for the past six months,” she continued. We learned that my spouse’s road to recovery was lengthy. Over his travels, Mike has received nine heart treatments. He is unable to support our family at this time.
She continued,
“As his spouse, I decide to be the one to tend to him and help him return to being the loving, devoted husband, father, brother, son, friend, and coach that he once was.”
The Sellers family has raised $77k toward their $100,000 goal.
Mike and Jane Are Parents of Three Children
Two of the three children raised by the athletic couple are teenagers. One of the three children, who is an adult, is listed by Jane on her GoFundMe page. Jane shared a picture of herself and Mike exchanging vows on social media in July 2018. The year 2010 was scrawled on the snapshot, which was made public on the occasion of their seventh wedding anniversary.
One of the many family images that Jane has posted on Facebook is one that was taken on a football field. The two teenage children of Jane and Mike were previously spotted at the Washington Commanders stadium. As a former player for the Commanders, Mike had dressed his kids in the infamous burgundy and gold jerseys. Kaylin, Mike’s eldest daughter, most likely sprang from a previous relationship. In a 2006 interview with the Daily Press, he mentioned Kaylin.
