Jim Jones will be among the many cast members who will appear. The rapper appeared on Love & Hip Hop: New York seasons one, two, and ten as a supporting cast member, and his relationship with girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin was one of the many dynamics discussed. Viewers will be able to see his personal and professional progress during the family reunion special.

The following is a synopsis of the upcoming season of Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition:

“For the first time, cast members from the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta series convene in Jamaica to soak up the tropical sun and let go of their inhibitions.”

Throughout the night, there will be more on Jim Jones’ experience on Love & Hip Hop

After being born in The Bronx, New York, to an Aruban mother and a Puerto Rican father, the reality star was raised in Harlem. Jim is a member of the East Coast rap group The Diplomats, which also includes Juelz Santana, Cam’ron, and Freekey Zekey. His son from a previous relationship, Joseph Guillermo “Pudie” Jones III, was born in 2003.

Jim has been in a romantic relationship with their then-girlfriend and now fiancée Chrissy Lampkin since 2004. In 2006, Jim appeared in a promotional video for a planned series called Keeping Up with the Joneses, which was to follow his life as well as some behind-the-scenes drama in the show’s production.

The pilot, which became the basis for the show Love & Hip Hop, was presented to VH1 and given to producer Mona Scott-Young. It was originally titled Diary of a Hip Hop Girlfriend, but the focus shifted to capturing Chrissy Lampkin’s life with her friends. Jim was cast as a supporting actor in Love & Hip Hop on January 4, 2011.

Jim was a member of the show’s supporting cast for the first two seasons. Viewers saw his tumultuous relationship with Chrissy Lampkin as he struggled with commitment issues, as well as his spat with his manager Yandy, which became one of the season’s most talked-about incidents.

Later, on September 7, 2012, VH1 announced that Jim and Chrissy would leave the show to star in their own spin-off series, Chrissy & Mr. Jones. The series was a huge success because it covered both the couple’s personal issues and their professional development, including the rapper’s commercial endeavors. The show ran for two seasons, with the final episode airing on December 16, 2013, but it was not renewed for a third.

Jim and Chrissy, on the other hand, made a brief return to television in 2016 with Jim & Chrissy: Vow or Never on We TV. The plot lines were similar to their previous spin-off program, detailing their love problems and attempts to get married. The rapper appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars 10 – Family Edition 2 with his mother Nancy Jones.

The couple joined the rest of the Love & Hip Hop: New York cast for the show’s tenth anniversary season in 2019. The upcoming season of Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition with Jim and Chrissy will also feature Emjay Johnson, Estelita, Gunplay, Jenn Coreano, Alexis Skyy, Amara La Negra, Karen “KK” King, Karlie Redd, Khaotic, Lyrica Anderson, Mama Jones, Spice, and Sukihana. There will also be performances by Teairra Mari, Mariahlynn, Miami Tip, Nikki Baby, Phresher, Safaree Samuels, Scrapp DeLeon, Shay Johnson, Shekinah Jo, Tokyo Vanity, and Trick Daddy.
