Sadly, in 2013 he filed for bankruptcy, stating $50,000 in assets and between $1 million and $10 million in debts. As of November 2022, his net worth was zero million dollars at the time of his passing.
Joe, an Artist
Joe is a Philadelphia-based watercolor artist. He developed an interest in painting at the tender age of four when he created his first Last Supper pictures in crayon. He has been selling his popular artwork for a very long time. At neighborhood fairs, his watercolor city paintings are for sale.
DMX, no longer a living person
One of the most well-known and soulful rappers passed away on April 9, 2021, in a New York hospital called White Plains Hospital. He was the only musician to have all five of his debut albums reach the top spot on the Billboard Charts.
On April 2, DMX was transported to the hospital after suffering a heart attack brought on by a drug overdose at his home. The following day, he was in a coma. The investigation concluded that the failure of multiple essential organs, including the kidney, liver, and lungs, contributed to his demise.
His fiancée Desiree Lindstrom, ex-wife Tashera Simmons, Yadira Borrego, and mother Arnett Simmons were all by his side when he took his final breath. He had fifteen children and was 50 years old.
Parents who are still young
Joe and his friend Arnett Simmons had children while they were teenagers. Joe fathered DMX while he was only 18 years old. When Arnett was 19 years old, he was born. She already had a daughter named Bonita who was two years old. Bonita was conceived as a result of Arnett’s previous relationship.
He left his child in the care of a violent mother
Joe was a distant father who was absent for the majority of his son’s early years. He was reluctant to get involved in his son’s life. When DMX was just seven years old, his father moved to Philadelphia, leaving him in the care of a physically abusive mother who took out her resentment and rage on DMX.
Due to his upbringing in poverty, DMX started stealing to survive, which worsened over time and frequently landed him in jail.
He eventually became so lethal that he could kill anyone who stood in his way. Joe was taken to The Children’s Village, a reform school when he was 11 years old because he was out of control.
He developed his beatboxing abilities over his 18 months in the academy, and after he graduated, he collaborated with the nearby rapper Ready Ron. Along with Ready Ron, he also picked up the habit of smoking c*ack, which later on grew to play a significant role in his life.
He began to rob and take more as a result of his need for c*ack. When he was locked up, he was 14 years old. He expressed his rage via poetry, which kept him alive and gave his life purpose. DMX stated in an interview that he loved his father even though he wasn’t always there for him.
He and his wife bear some responsibility for their son’s passing
When Joe left his wife and kids, she was left raising her children alone. Instead of showing them love and care, she offered them bodily harm and hostility. Their inability to be good parents hurt their children in several different ways. An innocent child who didn’t receive any love or care from his parents was left behind.
Throughout his childhood, he had to endure the misery of an abusive, uncaring, and terrible mother, which caused him to turn to crime and addiction—the same addiction that had claimed his life today.
