Before founding McAfee Associates, John Mcafee worked as a coder for NASA’s Institute for Space Studies in New York from 1968 to 1970.
Later, he worked for Univac as a software creator and then for Xerox as an operating system architect. He worked as a software analyst for Computer Sciences Corporation in 1978, and then for Booz Allen Hamilton from 1980 to 1982.
