In one of her most recent tweets, she discussed her experience with college football. After Nick Saban announced his retirement, the Alabama football team swiftly named Kalen DeBoer as his replacement. DeBoer has named Kane as defensive coordinator and Maurice Linguist as co-defensive coordinator.

Kane Wommack and Melissa Wommack married on June 5, 2011. Throughout their 12-year marriage, the couple has lived in several locations and raised three sons. Melissa is a Hattiesburg native who graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. The Alabama defensive coordinator is believed to have met his wife at Southern Miss, where they nearly graduated at simultaneouslyelissa once worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Mississippi. She hasn’t changed her Facebook account in a decade but still posts things using her X identity. Melissa recently discussed how swiftly things change in college football.
She told me, “One week ago, I woke up and Nick Saban was still the head coach at Alabama.” Two days later, Kalen DeBoer was named head coach, and his news conference was held the next day. Two days later, Kane is offered the DC position and leaves Mobile the next day.”
She went on to remark that the pace of the job does not allow for farewells that represent how important people are to you. The coach’s wife went on to express how much they had enjoyed their time in Mobile and how much they would miss everyone there.
Melissa praised the South Alabama football team on Twitter, stating that JagNation will always hold a special place in her heart. Melissa would frequently post updates on the South Alabama players’ accomplishments or the support staff on her social media platforms. So, we should expect her to do the same for the Crimson Tide.
Kane and Melissa Have Three Kids
Kane and Melissa have three boy children. Melissa and Kane just celebrated their kid, Asher’s, birthday. Their first child, Asher, was born on January 5, 2014. Melissa told Asher about her first pregnancy in a birthday tweet. Melissa stated that Kane was a GA at Ole Miss during her pregnancy with Asher.
Her labor began during an overtime Rebels basketball game, and she could barely walk to her car when they left. Melissa’s story ended on a cliffhanger, prompting her followers to speculate where Kane went before heading to the hospital. Tatum, the football couple’s second child, was born on June 14, 2015, and Jones, their third child, arrived on June 5, 2019.
Melissa has shared several family photos of her sons on her X account. Melissa paid a lovely tribute to her husband on Father’s Day last year. She shared three photos of Kane and his three sons enjoying themselves away from the football field. Melissa wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to Kane Wommack.
