In The Voice Season 22 Episode 14, Team Blake member Kate Kalvach competed against Bryce Leatherwood and Jay Allen. She gave an outstanding performance, but coach Blake Shelton preferred Bryce, so she was eliminated. Kate was added to Camila Cabello’s squad because the coach would not let it happen.
What happened to Kate in The Voice’s Season 22 Episode 14?
Kate Kalvach, Bryce Leatherwood, and Jay Allen were the three contestants that Blake Shelton selected for the three-way knockout round. Following Kate’s rendition of Justin Bieber’s song Anyone, all the coaches and judges praised her singing.
John Legend persuaded Blake to pick Kate, but her coach decided to “play the dice” and pick Bryce for the next round. As a result, Kate and Jay were fired from Season 22 of The Voice.
After bidding farewell to Jay, the coaches were unable to allow Kate to leave the stage. When John pressed the buzzer and seized her for his squad, Camila was going to take her for her squad. But the Seorita singer persisted, and she managed to convince Kate to join her team.
Camila mentioned that she and Kate had a history, making reference to the occasion when the celebrated singer fervently desired to have the applicant on her team during Blind Auditions. Kate was even kept out of coach Gwen Stefani’s team, but Blake hushed Camila and grabbed her up for his team.
On The Voice Season 22 Episode 14, Camila brought up the clip and convinced Kate to pick her instead of John Legend. Though confused and overwhelmed, Kate decided on Camila. As a result, Kate was saved from elimination and will remain on the show as a member of Team Camila.
Overview of Kate Kalvach
The Voice 2022 contestant Kate Kalvach has flipped from Team Blake to Team Camila. She is the creative director of Hope Connection Church in Oklahoma City, where she is from.
Matt Kalvach, better known by his stage name Kalwich, is a rapper and vocalist who grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At Southwestern Christian University, where she studied music business and technology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree, she met him. The team enjoys writing music in their own time.
The 27-year-old contestant paid tribute to her spouse, who allegedly inspired her to sing outside the church, during Episode 14 of The Voice. NBC provided more details on the artist in Kate’s profile.
Kate was reared in a household of pastors and started singing at her parent’s church. Kate has been greatly influenced by her musically talented parents. Despite having a Christian upbringing, Kate enjoys writing and singing pop songs. In college, Kate and Matt connected through the jazz group.
From the Czech Republic, rapper Matt is on the rise. They fell in love and got married in 2018 because of their common passion of music. One of the main reasons Kate is participating in “The Voice” is because Matt has forced her to act outside of her comfort zone and has helped to highlight their differences.
Kate will be fighting for Camila Cabello’s team the next week. Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend are Camila’s co-coaches. New episodes of Carson Daly’s The Voice Season 22 debut every Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. Peacock TV is another place where you may view it.
