Lonnie Loren Kocontes’ second wife was Micki Kanesaki. The pair travelled from California to Spain and boarded a ship on May 21, 2006. The couple visited Messina, Italy, four days later before evening departure for the yacht. Some reports state that after 11 p.m. that night, observers onboard last saw Micki. And Lonnie claimed that when he awoke at 4:30 a.m., he discovered Micki vanished.

Soon later, Lonnie called the police, saying that she had fallen from the balcony of their room due to ill effects from too much wine. The 52-year-old Micki Kanesaki’s body was discovered on May 27, 2006, by a search crew. On the same day, Micki’s ex-husband left for his own nation. Off the coast of Paola, Italy, in the Mediterranean Sea, Kanesaki formed while floating.

Lonnie Kocontes’s Arrest and Charges

Although they continued to live together while dividing their things, Lonnie and Micki separated in 2002. The victim’s ex-wife was not immediately considered a suspect. The Kanesakis even stated that they had made up and planned to get married again. However, Micki’s cause of death wasn’t discovered until the autopsy. The investigation revealed that the 52-year-old’s lungs were dry.

She was also severely haemorrhaging due to strangulation around her neck. He was arrested at the beginning of the investigation but was later released because he said he had reconciled with Micki. Lonnie Kocontes was, however, once more under FBI investigation in 2008 for attempting to move $1 million between many of his late wife’s bank accounts.
