Mark McMillian, a former NFL player, and Emmy Award winner, is one of the Next Level Chef season 2 cooks. Mark won an Emmy Award in October 1995 for his work on Randall Cunningham’s monthly pregame show. He was a defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite his eight years of athletic experience, he has only three years of cooking experience.

A high school sprint champion turned NFL running back turned chef. He enrolled in Glendale Junior College in California for two years. His outstanding performance earned him notoriety and a scholarship to play for the University of Alabama under legendary coach Gene Stallings. Mark still holds the school record for the longest interception touchdown. His official website states:

“Mark was drafted in the 10th round by the Philadelphia Eagles and was named to the coveted All-Madden Team as a rookie.”

“After a brief stint as a New Orleans Saint, McMillian had some of his most notable accomplishments as a cornerback with the Kansas City Chiefs under coach Marty Schottenheimer. McMillian, who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, earned the nickname “Mighty Mouse” from his teammates and fans in 1997 after a spectacular season that included 8 interceptions (tied for the NFL lead) and three defensive touchdowns (longest 87 yards).

Mark also set a club record for the Chiefs with 274 yards returned. He now resides in Los Angeles and works with a number of organizations to better the lives of children and young people.
