The Bachelor is back on ABC with a familiar face looking for love. To make that wish come true, 30 suitors will compete in the dating show for the opportunity to win the Final Rose and Zach Shallcross’ heart.
Mercedes Northup, a 24-year-old non-profit case manager with four jobs and a Middle Tennessee State University diploma, is one of the women set to appear in the episode. Season 27 of The Bachelor will premiere on ABC on Monday, January 23, at 8 p.m. ET.

In the upcoming season of the ABC dating show, several ladies will compete for the attention of the newest eligible bachelor Zach Shallcross. Mercedes Northup is one of the female characters in the show.
She attended Middle Tennessee State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies in 2021. Her career began as a part-time assistant with Meetings n Moore, followed by a shipping expert position with Uncommon James.
The Bachelor season 27 cast member is now a food server at North Italia after working as a social media marketing intern with BRND House.

The non-profit executive is described by ABC as a “fun-loving, cheerful lady” who is eager to spread her wings. It implies that she works hard to support herself while also prioritizing her love life. She has a close relationship with her mother, whose approval is essential in everyone she brings home. She’s had two serious relationships that ended when she realized they weren’t meant to be.

“Mercedes enjoys going out on the town in Nashville, but she also enjoys staying at home and cuddling with her dog. She wants a partner who will make her laugh and whom she can invite to Sunday family dinners.”
Mercedes enjoys giving and receiving gifts from those she cares about, as well as driving around with the windows down. Her hobby is exhibiting pigs at the Iowa State Fair, and she prefers to eat out rather than cook.

Zach Shallcross, the main character of The Bachelor season 27, will be on a mission to find love. He is 26 years old and rose to prominence after appearing on season 19 of The Bachelorette.
Zach abruptly left the show after their dream suite date, despite the fact that he and Rachel appeared to be getting along throughout the season. In the new season, which premieres on ABC on Monday, January 23, at 8 p.m. ET, he returns to find love in the same franchise.
