Who Is Mikel Simmons From “Southern Hospitality” Season

Mikel Simmons

Leva Bonaparte played a significant role in the Bravo series Southern Charm, which inspired Southern Hospitality. In the new show, she portrays the boss lady who runs Charleston’s upscale nightclub and oversees a close-knit staff.

One of the employees is Mikel Simmons, the VIP host of Leva’s nightclub, Republic Garden & Lounge. He came from a devout Christian family and was raised in Charleston.

He is anticipated to add some drama to Southern Hospitality, as evidenced by the multiple teasers and ads for this season. Mikel can annoy his boss despite the fact that he has been with the company for a long time. If he can survive the season, only time will tell.

Southern Hospitality will cause a range of feelings in Mikel Simmons. He was seen in a teaser admitting that he had kept his sexual orientation a secret from his family.

The VIP host’s profile stated that he believed he was living a double life because his family, church, and friends were not aware of his preference for men. Mikel was raised in a strict Christian household, so it will be interesting to see how he handles telling his family the truth.

Mikel Simmons, a native of Charleston and VIP Host, is renowned for bringing the party everywhere he goes. After being tormented by his past when he believed he was leading a second life, Mikel is now prepared to come out to his friends and beloved church group.

He sees these dialogues as the next step toward making peace with himself, despite the fact that they will be challenging, particularly in the South.

Mikel has lived in Charleston, South Carolina, his entire life. According to his LinkedIn page, he attended Wando High School before registering for a year-long course at Seacoast School of Worship to earn a “certificate of completion, worship studies.”

His studies at Southeastern University included “worship leadership, theology, and ministry studies,” and he received his diploma in 2019. As an after-school counselor, he started working for the Charleston County School District. He worked there for over two years before taking over as the worship leader at Freedom Church.

He currently works in the hospitality industry alongside numerous restaurant owners to draw famous people and large groups of people to Charleston nightclubs.
