This week sees the release of another episode of American Idol season 21. The final group of vocalists auditioning for a spot in the next round will be featured in the next episode.
One of the candidates scheduled to appear in the upcoming show is Oliver Steele, who was born in Michigan and grew up in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. The 24-year-old vocalist is currently working on his debut album, according to his website, Breedlove Guitars.

During the American Idol season 21 auditions, Oliver Steele will perform Change the World and In My Life.
Mount Juliet’s Oliver Steele will appear on the music challenge’s Sunday broadcast. The performer grew up in a “diverse” family and has spent his entire life surrounded by music, according to his biography. Oliver was raised by Toby Steele, a guitarist who encouraged him by telling him stories about “collaborating with legendary musicians.”
According to his official website:
“Oliver has started working with some of Nashville’s top artists and musicians, including The Pitch Meeting band.” Oliver is currently working on his debut album while entertaining crowds in Nashville.”
According to the American Idol season 21 candidate’s bio, he brings “soulful and powerful vocals” to every show, as well as “soft-spoken honesty” and “raw emotions.” The singer’s greatest influence is Jack Johnson. Oliver stated that his music and message spoke to him profoundly as a child and that the artist influenced the way he acts, plays, and writes.
The candidate revealed during an interview with RutherfordSource that this is not his first tryout for the program. He claims that the upcoming tryout will be his fourth or fifth attempt. However, this is his first appearance before the judges.
He also revealed that he will perform two songs, Change the World and In My Life, on Sunday’s show. He claimed that Change the World was his father’s favorite song. Four weeks ago, the performer shared an early glimpse of his tryout, along with footage of Luke Bryan praising his performance. During the video, the Country Girl performer stated that based on his tryout footage, he believes Oliver has a good chance of making it to the end.

Beginning next week, new advisors will appear on American Idol to help contestants with music selection, acts, and other aspects to make their time on the show more memorable than ever. Former contestants will serve as coaches on the show:
