The Seattle “SuperSonics” selected Shawn Kemp, who was the youngest athlete ever selected, in 1989. He was acknowledged as a budding NBA talent by the start of his second season with the Sonics. In 1995 and 1996, Kemp’s success with Sonics was at its height.
