Stephanie was born on May 20, 1970, in Bloomington, Indiana, according to her Legacy profile. Elliott was the eldest child of her parents, Michael Scott and Pamela Kay.
Stephanie was a lifetime Martinsville native who graduated from Martinsville High School in 1988. She attended Ball State University and Indiana University for her undergraduate and graduate studies.
