Baum went lost on June 26, 2009, while wandering alone mere blocks from her house. Authorities in Washington state are investigating whether a 50-year-old man suspected of kidnapping and rape in 2003 was also involved in Lindsey Baum’s disappearance and death six years later.
Investigators discovered many individuals of interest, including Paul James Bieker, according to Crime Online. He was just convicted of raping a kid in the same town six years before Lindsey went missing.
According to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, Paul Bieker was arrested and charged with rape, abduction, burglary, criminal harassment, and taking a motor vehicle without authorization in connection with a 2003 cold case involving a 17-year-old female.
According to the Olympian, Bieker has pled not guilty to all five counts, and the sheriff’s office is looking into whether the suspect was also involved in Baum’s death.

On June 26, 2009, Lindsey went to her friend’s house to check if they could have a sleepover. Lindsey started walking back home by herself when her friend’s mother said no.
The bones of a little girl were discovered deep in the forests in Kittitas County, 85 miles east of Seattle, in the spring of 2018. Grays Harbor County Sheriff Rick Scott told PEOPLE at the time that detectives would remain on the investigation until the monster responsible was captured and held accountable.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the matter with the help of four news reporters and the FBI, the state attorney general’s office, and the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Department. Despite the fact that this problem looks hopeless, Wallace feels it is solvable. He indicated that he believes someone is aware of something.
Melissa will not give up until her daughter receives justice. Her daughter deserved to rest in peace, she added.
