Gary Hughes, the director of football at Sky Sports, was among the group of experts who praised Stelling’s departure.
Hughes lauded Jeff’s long association with Saturday afternoon football, noting his excellent announcing skills and passion for the sport. Stelling playfully referred to his decision as “groundhog day,” acknowledging previous remarks but assuring viewers that he is going this time.
