Joe Gatto, Impractical Jokers returned in early April 2022. Fans who had assumed Joe’s resignation was one of his illogical jokes had an unpleasant awakening. Joe spent nine seasons as a member of the quartet of comedians before making his exit known on January 1st, 2022.
Joe posed a “Hey, Everyone” on Instagram. I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be affiliated with Impractical Jokers. I apologize in advance for the lengthy and more serious-than-usual statement below.

He continued,
“I hope to and am delighted to discover new ways to entertain you as I work through the obstacles I am encountering.”
Due to personal matters, such as his divorce from his ex-wife Bessy Gatto, Joe quit the show.
Two unexpected developments were revealed in Joe’s early January 2022 announcement: his departure from Impractical Jokers and his separation from his ex-wife Bessy Gatto.
Joe added,
“I now need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two amazing kids because Bessy and I have decided to amicably separate ways.
Remington and Milana, the children of Gatto and Bessy, were born in 2013 and 2014. They avoided going into specifics of their divorce and asked that their separation be handled in private.

Bessy posted on Instagram,
“Even though we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together.”
“As we embark on this new chapter together, we kindly ask that everyone respect our privacy.”
Joe expressed his gratitude to Murr, Q, and Sal for being three of his most significant influences. Along with the essential behind-the-scenes team, he promised that they would continue producing the show.
And although you only see the four of us, Joe added, “the amazing staff members who work behind the scenes make our show possible with their dedication and hard work.”
I’m grateful that I got to work with every one of them.
Joe added,
Joe concluded by thanking the audience for providing him the chance to share laughter. The best medicine, so they say, is laughter, and I hope I’ve been able to spread some of that over the past ten years.
On Instagram, Gatto’s former comedy collaborators stated that they could never have “imagined making Impractical Jokers without Joe.” Additionally, they disclosed that production on the comedy series’ upcoming season would start up again in January 2022.
Joe Leave appears content to perform comedy events and spend time with his family.
Joe Leave departed Impractical Jokers to spend more time with his children, as evidenced by his Instagram page. He shared a picture of himself and Milana working on her homework in the middle of March 2022, describing it as his favorite time of the day.
Gatto said that while being there to assist her is good, it’s even nicer “when she doesn’t require my help and amazes me with that sharp little brain of her. Much love to all the parents that are struggling with homework with you.
Joe and Bessy get along well, as seen by the time they spend together as a family. Joe Leave and Bessy uploaded recordings in February 2022 showing Remington refusing to leave his father’s comedy show. Bessy recalled a time when Remo refused to leave the stage.
Joe captioned his photo, “Loved to be allowed to bring my kids to work.” Sharing the stage with such incredible tiny people made me feel so happy.
Also accompanying Milana to her first Imagine Dragons concert were Joe and Bessy. According to Gatto,
“She was absolutely over the moon.”
“As were her parents to see her bounce and sing along like the big fan she is,” said the author.
The split couple has reportedly reconciled after spending a lot of time together. An individual who spoke with Page Six, however, denied the rumors. According to the insider, “Joe is focusing on co-parenting his children, as he stated in his post on New Year’s Eve, and that’s precisely what they’re doing.”
Gatto and Steve Byrne have launched the podcast Two Cool Moms while Gatto is currently on a comedy tour.
Gatto has not made arrangements to join the Impractical Jokers again. It wasn’t an easy decision, but Sal, Q, and Murr have continued making Impractical Jokers. At first, the trio questioned if continuing the show with Joe was gone.
On the Tell’ Em Steve-Dave podcast, Q stated that he would have wanted the others to continue the show if he had quit. The group decided to carry on because they understood Joe’s request. He stated:
And look, there are so many drawbacks to Joe not being present, man. We’re losing a major comic force, among other things. However, I believe all we can do is accept the situation as it is and allow ourselves to enjoy ourselves.
Filming without Joe was challenging, Vulcano subsequently admitted to People.
Although we were sorry to see him go, we had to give him his own space. Sal remarked, “We still chat to him all the time and miss him and adore him. He is our son, Quinn declared.
“We cherish him. He is our man. He simply desired to depart, so what are you going to do?
The group has chosen not to look for Joe’s long-term replacement at this time. Joe will be replaced by several guest actors in the forthcoming season 9, including Brooke Shields, Chris Jericho, and Method Man.
Joe seemed content to be spending more time with his children and touring to do stand-up comedy. He doesn’t seem likely to join the Impractical Jokers anytime soon. We are not precluding a later return, though.
A spectator questioned him during one of his performances,
“How’s life?” A witness who spoke to Us Weekly claims that Joe responded, “Pretty fucking wonderful.”
