Emmy-winning meteorologist Kim Adams has forecast Southeast Michigan weather for 25 years. Adams began his meteorology career with WXYZ-TV Channel 7 in 1997 and worked at Local 4 News from 2002 through 2009. She studied thermodynamics and dynamics at the USDA Graduate School in Washington, D.C.
Adams studied Synoptic Meteorology at Ohio State. Meteorologist with a master’s degree, she works. She started broadcasting as an intern at WJR Radio and then at WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio. Kim got a fantastic job offer from WXYZ-TV after a brief time at WBNS in Columbus, Ohio. She became Detroit television’s first female meteorologist in July 1997 after accepting the position.
