At the conclusion of the current season, famed Irish television broadcaster Ryan Tubridy is expected to leave his position as host of The Late Show.
The news was released by the Director-General of RTE. It has been a pleasure, said Tubridy, who hosts the popular RTE 2fm morning radio program The Full Irish.
Since 2009, Ryan has been holding the role. That year, he replaced Pat Kenny.

Ryan Tubridy’s impending resignation was announced by RTE Director-General Dee Forbes in a statement. “I want to thank Ryan for everything he has done for the Late Show over the past seven years,” Forbes said.
Regarding the cause, there hasn’t been any recent information. But it has to be the right choice for the TV personality’s future profession.
The director general said, “The Late Show continues to have a unique place in Irish society and is a domestic and worldwide television program,” adding that he was honored to work with Tubridy. For that, Ryan Tubridy deserves a great deal of praise.
I’ve known Ryan for a long time, and I know how much he loves The Late Show. The content director said, “I’m delighted to keep working with Ryan on his radio program and chatting with him about forthcoming initiatives.

“It has been a privilege to host the national institution that is the Late Show for the past fourteen years,” the well-known television personality remarked to begin the post.
The 50-year-old said, “I want to express my gratitude to the amazing teams of executives, crew, researchers, and producers who have worked so hard to keep the show going over the years.”
Many of them, according to Tubridy, have become good friends with him. Additionally, on Friday, May 26, 2023, Ryan will deliver his last Late Late Show on RTÉ One.
The choice of Ryan Tubridy’s successor as host of the Late Show has not yet been decided. Later in the summer, RTE will make the announcement.

Ryan Tubridy’s departure from the Late Show and his next destination remains unknown.
On RTE Radio 1, the well-known TV program will still present the radio program on weekday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m.
“I will continue doing the radio show I love,” Tubridy said as he wrapped up his remarks about the announcement of his leaving.
The Dublin native promised to talk about upcoming endeavors that will combine his love of history, literature, and Ireland. “We have some fantastic things in the works for the remaining events in this season. Watch this space,” he said.
