On the show’s broadcast on Tuesday, Erica Mena discussed Spice’s relationship with her ex-husband Safaree Shekinah and Spice. Although the conversation started out well, it rapidly became negative when Spice made remarks about Erica’s kids. The topic changed when Spice admitted that her own son didn’t like her, despite Erica Mena congratulating Spice on her career and praising her as a mother.
The LHHATL season 11 cast member was incensed by the comment, and she flipped the table, forcing the crew to step in. For viewers of the show who have seen actors throw fists, drinks, and other things, physical aggression is nothing new. But what followed was strange, as Erica Mena yelled a racial epithet at the Jamaican performer in a fit of rage.
She called Spice a “blue m*nkey,” which infuriated both viewers and cast members. Shekinah, who was present, informed the cameras that it was entirely false. She then brought up the fact that Erica Mena has Black children, specifically Jamaican children, and inquired as to her reaction if the same allegation had been made about her own children.
