William Reynolds Died At The Age Of 90

William Reynolds

William Reynolds, 90, passed away on August 24 due to complications from pneumonia. He was widely recognized for his roles as SAC Kendall Lisbon/Franklin Benton and Special Agent Tim Colby in The F.B.I. William’s son Eric Reynolds broke the news. It is unknown whether he was hospitalized or at home when he passed away. In addition, details on his funeral will be disclosed shortly.

Throughout his career, William Reynolds appeared in numerous films and television programs, but he is most remembered for his role in the ABC police drama The F.B.I. Reynolds portrayed the supporting role of SAC Kendall Lisbon/Franklin Benton from 1966 until 1967.

He was a series regular as Special Agent Tim Colby from 1967 through 1974. He featured in a total of 161 episodes, and although nothing is known about him, he was essential to the evolution of the plot.

The F.B.I. aired 241 episodes over nine seasons, from September 1965 to April 1974, with Warner Bros. Television Distribution as the distributor.

William Reynolds served in the United States Army for a limited time

The 9 December 1931-born William de Clarq Reynolds enrolled at Pasadena City College and entered the radio department. In 1952, a talent agent spotted him performing in small roles on stage and signed him to Universal Studios.

He made his debut in the love film Carrie in 1952. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952 and returned to the film industry in 1955 with the release of Cult of the Cobra.

Then came movies like All That Heaven Allows, There’s Always Tomorrow, and Has Anyone Seen My Girl? Subsequently, he decided to pursue a career in television since he was tired of portraying the same characters over and over again. He was later featured on an episode of Holiday at Hollow Rock as a guest.

Reynolds starred in the 1959 television series Pete Kelly’s Blues before assuming a minor role in the 1960-1961 ABC adventure drama series The Islanders. He appears in an episode of the ABC drama series The Roaring 20s as a guest star.

In 1961, William appeared in an episode of The Brahma Bull as Johnny Tremayne. Reynolds was featured on the ABC sitcom The Gallant Men and in the 1966 drama film Follow Me, Boys! as Hoodoo Henderson. Reynolds continues to appear as a guest star on popular television programs such as Dragnet and The Twilight Zone.

After appearing in The FBI, he changed careers. Reynold entered the corporate world in 2004 and attended a Twilight Zone conference in Los Angeles. William was married to actress Molly Sinclair. In 1950, they wed and had two children, a girl, and a boy. Molly, however, passed away in 1992.
