The Heritage High Husky Baseball team announced his passing on their Facebook page on Sunday night. Wilson’s family has not commented on his passing, and he has a GoFundMe page. His GoFundMe page raises issues related to using drugs recreationally.
Wilson Moore’s Death and Obituary
Those who knew Wilson Moore well were shocked to learn of his passing. Moore, a Heritage High student, passed away early on Saturday morning while he was asleep. Wilson, who was eighteen, pitched right-handed but spent most of his time as a catcher. The Moore family has started a GoFundMe page to help with Wilson’s burial and funeral expenses.
So far, $15,000 of the $25,000 target has been reached. The GoFundMe page stated that although unintentional chemical poisoning was suspected, the cause of death was still being looked into. The GoFundMe effort also exhorts readers to educate their friends and family about the risks associated with using recreational drugs, including the possibility of death.
A Facebook member shared something similar whose child just so happened to be Wilson’s friend. Nicole Bennet Weeks, the user, suggested that parents talk about their kids about using drugs recreationally. The Heritage High School baseball team paid tribute to Wilson on social media.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Wilson Moore, a cherished member of the Husky Baseball family,” the statement read. He was more than just a player; in addition, he was a great teammate, friend, and role model with an infectious personality. On the field and in our program, his legacy will be honored. Wilson, go to sleep. Your Husky family loves and misses you very much.
Heritage High Baseball Player’s Family
Regarding his passing, Wilson’s family has not issued a statement. He was the only child of Betsy Ballard Moore. Betsy, his mother, posted a few pictures of herself and her child on Facebook. His GoFundMe page was made by Kristina Currie Liljestrand. Talan, the son of Kristina, and Wilson made a great friendship. She shared the GoFundMe page on her Instagram and Facebook sites.
“Unfortunately, we lost a precious soul this weekend,” she wrote as the image’s caption. Wilson Moore, a close friend of Talan’s, passed away. Wilson’s family would greatly appreciate a kind word, if you could leave them.
Wilson was a member of the Class of 2023 after graduating from Heritage High School last year. It’s unclear if he intended to pursue a new career path in baseball or something else entirely. Wilson declared on Facebook that he was employed by GSC Surveying as a rodman.
