The daughter of Naomi Judd, Wynonna Judd, discussed her mother’s passing on CBS Sunday Morning in April of this year.
After her mother’s passing, she claimed that she is still enraged and that the feeling would last for some time. Wynonna feels angry that she can’t help her mother.
“Because she has recovered from prior incidents.” Is there anything more I should have looked for given how my neighborhood is now set up? Or ought to I have understood better?”
Wynonna recalled racing to her mother’s house to see her after her sister Ashley found the body when she was questioned about the circumstances surrounding her mother’s passing. She continued, “I said my goodbyes to my mom at the hospital, and I’m not sure what to do now.”
Wynonna spoke on her relationship with Naomi and how she senses the presence of her mother, saying:
“We were very close, yet every now and then she’d get mad at me… We would disagree, grow apart, and then reconcile while crying. It was very challenging. We tried so hard, and those tears are mine because I know we tried and “most of the time” did fairly well.
Despite the fact that all of these feelings are in the past, she pointed out that a person loses a lot when their mother passes away. The memory of her mother once taking her by the hand and telling her that her life was better because of her is now pouring back to Wynonna, she continued.
In her residence in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, on April 30, 2022, Naomi Judd shot herself in the head. When she was 76 years old, she passed away. Following her passing, her daughters published on Twitter:
“Our sisters had a sad day today,” Our wonderful mother passed away as a result of her mental condition.
On May 12, 2022, Ashley Judd discussed the circumstances behind her mother’s passing on Good Morning America. She revealed this to increase understanding of mental illness and to have the family provide the cause of death rather than an outsider.
For a protracted length of time, Naomi Judd battled depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and suicidal thoughts. She used lithium, which had an adverse effect on her and resulted in tremors, baldness, and facial edema.
CMT aired Naomi Judd’s memorial, and Robin Roberts hosted a program called Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration that was carried live from the Ryman Auditorium. Well-known personalities like Reese Witherspoon, Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, Salma Hayek, Jamey Johnson, and others attended the event.
By establishing The Judds with her daughter Wynonna, Naomi Judd gained fame. In addition to serving as a judge and coach on the reality competition series Can You Duet in 2008, Naomi’s New Morning debuted in 2005. She also starred in the 2011 Lifetime TV film The Killing Game.
