Since Xana is no longer with us, Luis Enrique is her father’s safety net. Enrique played the majority of his career for the storied Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona.
As manager of Barcelona, he has won nine championships. Additionally, he earns money via endorsements. He was sponsored by Nike, and the sportswear business used him in ads. As of November 2022, he has a $20 million net worth.
She died from cancer
The nation was shocked by Xana’s abrupt demise. She received an osteosarcoma diagnosis in 2019, which is the most common type of bone cancer.
She bravely battled the illness for five months, but she did not make it. On August 29, 2019, her father Enrique announced the tragic news of her passing, writing in a statement, “Our daughter Xana went away that afternoon following a five-month fight with Osteosarcoma.”
He praised the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff for their efforts, as well as all of his supporters. Xana will be the star that leads their family, he continued, and they will remember her every day in the hope of running into her again someday. Xana unfortunately passed away when she was barely nine years old.
Of her two older siblings, Sira Martinez and Pacho Martinez, Xana was the youngest. Her younger sister Sira Martinez is a youth Spanish equestrian champion. She spoke about how the death of her sister affected her during an interview with Vanity Fair.
She claimed that spending time with her sister had altered her perspective on life.
She continued by saying that she used to be overwhelmed by even the tiniest challenge, but that as she has matured, she now takes a moment to contemplate and understands that because we never know when we will die, we should live in the now. She is currently trying to deal with everything and find the good in everything.
Elena Cullell, an economist, and Luis Enrique, a businessman, have been married for almost 20 years. Before getting married on December 27, 1997, at Barcelona’s Santa Maria del Mar, they had been together for years after meeting the year before Luis joined Barcelona. In front of 200 guests, the wonderful event was held at the Cathedral of Ribera.
Enrique claimed in an interview that he only has feelings for his wife. He asserts that his wife is the only person who helps him, and because they have been married for a long time, he is unable to fall in love with anybody else.
Enrique was a candidate for Manchester United manager before Erik ten Hag, Mauricio Pochettino, and Julen Lopetegui were selected. Enrique stated that he will be in Qatar with Spain since he has spoken and that nothing excites him more than representing his country at the World Cup while discussing the potential of taking over Manchester United.
