He worked on a variety of well-known projects. However, the board of directors fired him after discovering that he had abused company cash. His family claims that he was detained for 13 months before formal accusations were brought against him. He spent nine years behind bars after being freed on bail before being found guilty in 2017.

The Shahins, on the other hand, were not aware that the US was negotiating Brittney Griner’s release from a Russian prison. Griner was released from prison on December 8, 2022, after the US arranged a deal with international arms dealer Viktor Bout, which was made possible by the UAE.
