Zak Lost His Super Bowl Rings
When DeOssie inadvertently misplaced his two Super Bowl championship rings in 2018, it was a major setback for him. The horrific incident occurred on May 2 in front of the Grand Summit Hotel, shortly after the America Needs You event came to a victorious conclusion.
DeOssie and his wife, who had not been informed of the loss at first, discovered the missing rings and immediately began a thorough search, shaking down their house, going through their car, searching the hotel parking lot, and searching nearby areas. In addition, they filed a police report on May 6 detailing their extensive hunt for the expensive items.
Luckily, a neighbor taking a morning stroll noticed one of the rings on the side of a nearby street. Even though it was tarnished, the ring was found beneath the Super Bowl box’s remnants. That being said, the search for the second ring goes on despite the partial recovery. Each of the white gold diamond rings is estimated to be worth several hundred dollars.
The rings commemorate the Super Bowl seasons of 2011 and 2007 and contain DeOssie’s name. He looked into using insurance to replace the lost ring as a result of the loss. He valued the rings much, indicating the deep emotional connection and importance he placed on them.
