The broadcaster and author of children’s books Zeb Soanes has joined Norwich Puppet Theatre as a supporter of the organization.
The current host of a show on Classic FM was born and raised in Suffolk and is also the author of the Gaspard the Fox book series. He formerly worked as a presenter for the BBC.
He stated that he “clearly recalls the trips that the Norwich Puppet Theatre made to my primary school in Lowestoft” and that he was “honored” to become a patron of the organization.
Cinderella will be the Christmas play at the theater, and Soanes will narrate it.
He stated that puppets could capture children’s imaginations.
“Bits of painted wood and rope become enchanted creatures, bringing us to other locations and experiences far from our own”
“Zeb’s sponsorship shows his deep confidence in the power of puppetry and storytelling to foster children’s creativity and create a world of enchantment and adventure,” said Peter Beck, director of the Puppet Theatre.
“To have the backing of such a prominent broadcaster and novelist who is so familiar with the theater will enable us to promote awareness of the important work that we do with young people,” said the organization.
