In his sophomore year of high school, he carried for 2263 yards and 24 touchdowns, and in his senior year, he rushed for 2775 yards and 34 touchdowns. He had an exceptional high school record, which drew the attention of several major college football teams, notably the Alabama “crimson tide” and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Later, his career took off when he began playing for the University of Alabama’s “crimson tide” football team as a running back. Najee Harris played 14 games as a rookie and concluded the season with 370 years and 61 carries. He appeared in 15 games as a sophomore alongside Damien Harris and Josh Jacobs.
He had 783 yards on 117 carries and four touchdowns on the season. Najee performed admirably against Arkansas State. After Damian and Josh left for the NFL, he took over as the primary running back in his junior year. In 2019, he rushed for 1224 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was expected to enter the 2020 NFL Draft, but he stayed to finish his senior year at college. In 2020, he returned to the team as a running back, and they defeated the Georgia Bulls and the Missouri Tigers.
