In 2018, he appeared in four games as a fill-in for Feleipe Frank, who was injured. His stats were 14 of 22 for 162 yards and a touchdown. He takes over as starters in 2019 after serving as Frank’s backup. He competed against Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The following year, he competed against Ole Miss, Georgia, and other teams.
In the game versus Georgia, he became the SEC’s first quarterback. He entered the NFL draft in 2021. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was selected in the second round, 64th overall, of the draft. Despite some ups and downs in his first match for the team, he received a lot of acclaims.
