Stoerner signed a deal with the Nashville Kats the next year, splitting starting quarterback duties with Leon Murray. He was discharged from the club after two games. Clint then signed with Philadelphia Soul. He returned to AFL in 2008. Nonetheless, he was released from his contract once the league’s inaugural season was postponed until 2008.
