How did Carl Lentz start his Professional Career?
A relationship he had with New York actress Ranin Karim came to light, shattering his entire existence. Lentz, who aspires to begin a career in entertainment, resides in Florida with his family.
Lentz sold his $1.5 million Montclair, New Jersey home just days before he was let go from Hillsong Church. The family relocated from the East Coast to Los Angeles, where they were able to pay their rent in part because of Tyler Perry’s $100,000 contribution.
Lentz relocated the family to a $70,000 house south of Tampa, Florida, in July 2021. The residence is a stark contrast to their opulent abode in Los Angeles.
Carl was discovered in an airport in Florida in March 2022, appearing very different from how he had previously appeared. The previously well-groomed preacher now had long, unruly curls and appeared leaner. Additionally, he gave up wearing low-cut t-shirts in favor of a black t-shirt, light blue trousers, and black cowboy boots.
Laura, Carl’s wife, took their son to school after dropping Carl off at the airport. Laura relaunched as an interior designer and started her business after leaving Hillsong Church.
Lentz, though, hasn’t changed his professional path since leaving Hillsong. According to The Sun, Carl took a month off before pursuing a career in the entertainment sector to work on his mental health.

Karim claimed that Carl lied when he claimed that their relationship was simply a passing fling. Lentz reportedly told Karim when they parted ways that she was the only person he had ever loved outside of their marriage.
We both experienced comfort and a profound, unique connection with each other, so I wasn’t simply there for sex. We have the same feelings for one another, which has caused me much hurt. Both he and I love one another. It was an unplanned romantic relationship. It wasn’t merely a passing fancy or a sexual connection.
In June 2021, Lentz was accused of sexual abuse by the family’s former nanny. Leona Kimes, a former nanny in Lentz’s household, came out with sexual assault claims against the disgraced pastor months after his firing from Hillsong Church.

“I also felt so ashamed and I had been advised not to say anything or tell anyone.”
Leona revealed that she began working in Lentz’s home in 2011 and frequently put in more than 19 hours each day. Before Lentz started asking for foot rubs and massages, her job comprised of caring for the kids and the house.
Kimes claimed that when Carl began groping her inappropriately, she was unsure of how to respond.
She claimed:
“I was physically molested by his continuous, unsolicited sexual stroking of my parts.”
“I halted. I always became frozen.”

She claimed,
“I was accused and silenced.“
I posted the issue. Lentz accepted responsibility for his behavior in 2017, but he choose not to come clean with the church’s authorities. Before terminating her, the couple counseled her to turn to God.
Kimes stated,
“I had been sacked from their family, but not from their staff.“
“I felt guilty and ashamed because I thought I was to blame. I was left without a role and believed we could fix the problem, albeit I wasn’t sure how. We were all going to remain silent, I just knew that.
Kimes told the Hillsong Church authorities about her experience after Carl was let go. The way Lentz and her husband treated volunteers at their Boston church has drawn criticism.
Despite Carl’s tendency to cheat on his wife, Laura is unable to leave him.
In 2003, Carl and Laura got married. They now have three kids and live in Florida. Lentz vowed to mend the rift with his family after being fired. On Instagram, he wrote:
“I was held responsible for being unfaithful in my marriage, the most significant relationship in my life. I alone am to blame for this failure, and I accept full accountability for my conduct. I now set out on a path to reestablish trust with my wife Laura and my kids.
Even among pious people, lying is a difficult sin to forgive. Though there was no indication of a divorce or split, Carl and Laura appeared to move on.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun, Laura believed Carl was innocent despite his admission of guilt ‘because she has no sense of self about him.’ According to the source, Laura is reliant on Lentz and cannot leave him:
She has always been dependent on him, both personally and professionally, throughout their marriage. Laura will never leave him since she put all her eggs in one basket and now has nowhere else to turn.
