Insiders close to Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone recently made waves when they revealed to People magazine that they had decided to call it quits on their four-year relationship.
The disclosure was made after the now-ex-couple was spotted taking a Fourth of July vacation together in Malibu, not long after Morrone turned 25. DiCaprio and Morrone recently “traveled a lot,” according to a second insider, and “re-evaluated their relationship.” The insider added that the “relationship had its run” and that “distance played a role” in the breakup.
As news of Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone’s rumored divorce went online, internet users reacted by creating a deluge of amusing memes highlighting DiCaprio’s purported aversion to date any woman older than 25 based on his prior relationships.
Despite having a 22-year age gap, DiCaprio and Morrone started dating more than six months after they first met at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. In July 2019, a source told People magazine that the couple was “extremely serious” about each other:

Leonardo DiCaprio is known for dating younger women and allegedly ending relationships with them before they turn 25. The idea first surfaced when the Don’t Look Up actor started dating Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen.
DiCaprio was almost 25 at the time, while Bundchen was 20. Before breaking up in 2005, the year Bundchen turned 25, the couple dated for five years. Soon after, the former began dating model Bar Refaeli, age 20.
Just when Refaeli turned 26 in 2011, the couple supposedly broke up. After that, DiCaprio started dating Blake Lively, a 23-year-old actress, but the two broke up before she turned 25.
Between 2013 and 2014, he also dated German model Toni Garrn, however the two broke up before she turned 26. DiCaprio’s second committed relationship began in 2017 with Camila Morrone, then 19 years old. Despite having a significant age gap, the pair stayed together for four years.
However, just two months after Morrone turned 25, allegations about their alleged breakup started to circulate, prompting online people to reply to their breakup and DiCaprio’s dating history with humorous memes and clever comments:
Before their supposed breakup, Camila Morrone had addressed the age difference between her and Leonardo DiCaprio. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she supposedly stated:
There are numerous marriages in Hollywood and throughout history where the ages of the parties are vastly different. Simply said, I think everyone should be free to date whomever they want.
It’s unclear if Morrone or DiCaprio will comment on their divorce in the days to come as internet opinions keep pouring in.
