“A slew of newcomers has arrived in Paradise, eager to turn up the charm and heat! When these young men hand out date cards, more than one couple will be left wondering. Elsewhere, some of the beach’s most enduring relationships will be put to the test; but will they be able to work things out, or will confused signals spell the end for the troubled couples?”

This week on Bachelor in Paradise, Hayden used his date card to ask Kate out on a date. Logan attempted to persuade Kate not to go on the date, but he preferred that she explore her relationship on Paradise Beach. Kate was hurt, so she agreed to go on a date with Hayden.

The two went ziplining, but Kate was concerned about Hayden’s fear of the activity. Hayden told Kate about how he had spent thousands of dollars to save his dog from a brain tumor during their date. This surprised Kate because she thought his priorities in life were skewed. Kate stated that she did not have a lot of money at home.

Hayden was surprised when Gabby and Rachel were accused of not being serious during their time on the show. She understood Logan’s conflicted feelings about Hayden and grew to admire her previous connection. Logan did not perceive Hayden as a threat when he arrived and informed the other cast members of his awkward encounter with The Bachelorette. Hayden later claimed that when he called Gabby “rough around the edges,” he was simply referring to the fact that he had dated more serious women than her.

He also claimed that he was having fun with other guys when he mentioned his ex’s appearance, and that he couldn’t remember the incident clearly. Kate couldn’t believe what Hayden was saying and thought she’d made a huge mistake by showing up on that particular day.
