Wrong Side of the Tracks, a Spanish thriller that premiered in May 2022 and quickly rose to fame, has been renewed for a second season.
David Bermejo’s story follows a disgruntled war veteran whose granddaughter joins a local drug ring, forcing him to take matters into his own hands. The second season of the show has already concluded in Spain, and it is now available on Netflix in the United States. It will be available on our televisions in March of next year.

The plot synopsis has been revealed
Wrong Side of the Tracks is set in Madrid’s Entrevas district and follows Tirso Abantos, a former military officer who now runs a hardware store, as his daily routine is disrupted by his defiant granddaughter Irene’s violent s*xual attack. Enraged by the incident, Abantos teams up with a shady police officer, Ezequiel, to confront the neighborhood thugs and exact revenge on his niece.
Tirso will be alone at the start of the first installment, without Irene or the hardware store. Furthermore, the situation in the area is getting worse by the day.

Viewers will be relieved to learn that the second season of the criminal thriller series will not be the final season. Netflix renewed the series for a third season in November 2022, months after the first season was canceled. According to rumors, the third season began filming in February, and we can expect Tirso’s ex-wife and Ezequiel’s amnesiac resurfacing to add a new plot element to the story. Season 3 will see the addition of Natalia Dicenta, Michelle Calvó, Oscar Higares, and Alex Medina to the main cast.
